Construction Updates

Construction in 181 and 187 Hoyt Street (B3) was completed on April 6, 2026.
-
City agencies have approved work to begin at 175 Hoyt Street (B1) and 414 Baltic Street (4W).

NYCHA’s Comprehensive Modernization team is actively working with the city agencies to help move the remaining approvals forward.

The Design Build team receives updates through the city’s permitting system and monitors the filings regularly to respond quickly to any agency questions or comment.

Current Activity

RANV notices have been circulated to all residents at 175 Hoyt Street (B1).

Relocations to hospitality units began on June 1, 2026, occurring two floors at time.

First set of move-backs will begin on July 1, 2026 for residents relocated on June 1, 2026.
-
With relocations scheduled and hospitality units are assigned, relocation coordinators continue to support residents throughout their move-out process with ongoing communication and addressing questions.

What RESIDENTS CAN Expect
SERVICE IMPACTS

Temporary water and heat interruptions are expected as part of the work.

Residents will receive at least 72 hours’ advance notice before any shutdown.

Whenever possible, interruptions will be scheduled during regular work hours and limited to one building at a time.
-
These interruptions are expected approximately every five business days.
OPERATIONS
AND
DAILY CONDITIONS

Construction staffing has increased across the development beginning in February 2026.

Work will take place floor by floor, starting at the top and moving downward, in groups of 8 apartments at a time.
-
Common areas will be cleaned and maintained daily throughout construction.
